Trey Parker and Matt Stone were not the only creators told to stay away from Scientology. Clerks II director Kevin Smith revealed in a recent interview that friend and actor Jason Lee asked him to remove a Scientology joke from the first draft of the first draft of his 1999 religious adventure comedy film Dogma.

"There was a line where someone asked his character what engages the Lord’s wrath these days, and his character said, 'I don’t know, Scientology?'” revealed Smith. "He wasn’t comfortable with that. I took it out for him."So another case of an actor who is fine making jokes about other religions (Dogma was a religious satire) but not his own.
